First Home Buyer Hub Finalise settlement Settlement and getting your keys
Settlement should occur as per the settlement date in the sale contract. Your solicitor and lender will attend settlement on your behalf, where all costs will be disbursed. The property will be transferred into your name and the lender takes possession of the title (this is their security in case you default).
Once this process is complete, you now own your brand-new property!
